Mr. Haj Akbar Nazari began his activities in the pistachio trade Rafsanjan, Kerman province (Iran) in 1941. Leveraging his father’s agricultural experience, he started agricultural and development activities alongside his trade. With fair ethics, faith, patience, and honesty, he rapidly expanded and grew his business in the market, reaching not only Kerman province but also Europe and other countries worldwide.
Since then, his business has continuously grown. Today, the Nazari Business Group relies on scientific research and studies, employs specialized and committed personnel, uses the latest achievements from leading countries, and addresses consumer needs. It has become one of the pioneers in the country’s horticulture industry, especially in pistachio cultivation.
During Mr. Haj Akbar Nazari's career, his son, Mr. Ali Nazari, expanded the business. In 1988, he acquired Arzoo-ye Bahar company, which was previously owned by the Agricultural Bank. Initially a poultry farm, part of its lands was used for pistachio cultivation in 1996. His innovative management approach, focusing on scientific studies, establishing orchards, and developing scientific projects, made this orchard unique. With his father’s support, Mr. Ali Nazari continued to develop orchards in these lands and Saveh, also cultivating jujube alongside pistachios. All these activities were later consolidated in the Baharan Paliz Pouya company.
In 1992, with his father’s investment, Mr. Ali Nazari founded the Shimiane company to enter the packaging industry. The company currently focuses on producing and printing "BOPP" film, including transparent, pearlized, matte, rotogravure, flexo, multi-layer plastic film, and more. The company’s income is entirely dedicated to the education of children in this country.
In 2001, Mr. Haj Akbar Nazari entrusted his son with the construction of the Rahyar educational complex in the Pounak area of Tehran, aiming to enhance knowledge. Mr. Ali Nazari founded this institute to provide a successful model of modern, scientific, and technological education. The institute aims to create a healthy, vibrant, scientific, and disciplined environment for the education of talented students.
In 2007, the Farasoujam Pars dairy farm was established by the family, managed by Mr. Ali Nazari, to produce raw milk. The farm currently has 1,300 dairy cows, producing an average of 40 tons of milk daily.
The Nazari Business Group was officially established in 2017 under the leadership of Mr. Ali Nazari. Following the founder’s principles and teachings, the group maintained an entrepreneurial approach, focusing on consumer rights and social benevolence, with a vision to become the leading brand of horticultural products by the early 2020s.
In 2010, Mr. Ali Nazari established the Ita Sadra Biotechnology company to produce rootstocks and seedlings through plant tissue culture. The company’s main activities include producing various rootstocks and seedlings, such as UCB1, Arrota, and rootstocks for stone and pome fruit trees, blueberries, pomegranates, walnuts, and more. Importing new varieties, establishing orchards, and adapting them are among the group’s other activities.
In 2013, Tat Sabz Tarom company was founded to produce table and oil olive varieties, extract oil, package, and sell olive oil and preserves.
In 2014, Dotchin brand was registered to process, package, sell, and distribute Nazari Business Group’s products. The brand’s main activities include producing processed jujube, olive oil, pistachios, blueberries, olives, and ginger.
In 2016, the Nazari Business Group started collaborating with the Iranian Pistachio Association, which acts as a research institute, addressing issues and problems and providing advisory solutions for quality planting, maintaining, harvesting (GAP), processing at collection terminals (GMP), storage, transportation, and facilitating and developing exports. The association is legally registered by the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture.
In 2016, the Nazari Business Group, in collaboration with Tana Parts company, began operations in Armenia to lead in the production and processing of nuts. The main activities of this partnership include exporting pistachios, walnuts, and jujubes to Russia and European countries.
In 2019, the Rahyari Atret Sabz Rafsanjan charity was established, inspired by the founder’s benevolent principles. Its mission is to identify and assist underprivileged individuals with dignity, create jobs, and provide education in legal matters, children, youth, marital issues, and more.
The Rafsanjan Grand Mosque is another charitable activity of the group, initiated about 70 years ago by the late Falasfi and built jointly with significant investment from the Haj Akbar Nazari brothers.
The Ali Ibn Abi Talib 300-bed educational and medical center in Rafsanjan was also built and operated by this group of philanthropists in 1988.
In 2016, the construction of the Taskin Specialized Hospital project in Rafsanjan began based on the highest hospital management standards (JCI), aiming to develop knowledge-based medical services. The construction of this hospital is currently underway.
In 2020, the Agricultural Company of Alibalia was established to invest in agricultural projects, trade, and agricultural commerce both domestically and internationally. Exporters, wholesalers, and vendors of nuts are the main customers of the group's pistachios, olives, and citrus products.
In 2021, the Green Growth Tomorrow Horticultural Technology Research Center was launched under the "Pistat" brand, focusing on agricultural research and extension. Pistat provides consulting services to horticulturists and agricultural operators, offering products and services such as the Pistat application, technical consulting services, improved seedlings, and more.
In 2022, Barizan Barzan Pouya company was established to localize the knowledge of agriculture in the country’s climate. The company’s main plans include the commercial and sustainable production of blueberries, ginger, turmeric using hydroponic methods (both in greenhouses and open fields).
The founder of the Nazari Business Group, Mr. Haj Akbar Nazari, passed away in July 2001.
